Kia introduced the Kia Forte to the automotive market in 2008. Kia developed the Forte in several different variations, including as a coupe and as a hatchback. The Forte classifies as a compact car and is now in its third generation of production.

While the 2019 Kia Forte is a great vehicle, there are several new features and upgrades offered on the 2020 Kia Forte. The 2019 Forte is available with four different trim options while the new 2020 Forte is available in five different trims. The latest trim, the Forte GT, is an improved version of the 2019 Forte S, offering drivers with additional performance features.

The 2019 Kia Forte utilizes a single 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to power all four of its different trims. The 2.0-liter engine produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. While the 2.0-liter engine is connected to a standard continuously variable transmission (CVT), a six-speed manual transmission option is available to customers who would like to purchase the Forte FE.

There are two engine layouts available for the 2020 Kia Forte, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine. The 2.0-liter engine produces 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque while the more powerful 1.6-liter engine produces 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. There are three different transmission options available across the 2020 Forte trims.

LED headlights and taillights are included standard on the 2020 Kia Forte and 2019 Kia Forte. The 2020 Forte GT trim includes standard 18-inch alloy wheels in addition to a plethora of red accents on the exterior of the car.
