A mid-level gas engine is a turbocharged 1.6-liter engine that delivers 178 horsepower. The top trim comes with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 245 horsepower. The Optima’s style is also unchanged between the 2019 and 2020 model years. For both years, the Optima boasts gentle rounding across the hood and a sloping roofline to improve aerodynamics. The LED headlights flow out to the sides and culminate in a dramatic point. The Optima’s exterior is further enhanced by features like 16 to 18-inch wheels available in several finishes, auto light control, single or dual chrome exhaust tips, high beam assistance, heated outside mirrors, a roof-mounted antenna, and several other items.

In 2019, drivers could add the Technology Package to select trims as an option. One of the many features included in this package is wireless charging.
